Former Capcom developers Hideaki and Saori Utsumi have founded their own independent team, Birdkin Studio.
The husband/wife duo is already working on a project for Nintendo Switch and Steam. In their company presentation, they said their mission is to “publish games that make life fun!”
Both Utsumis had previously worked at Capcom in the audio department. Saori co-composed music for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis with Masami Ueda, and did the sound work Mega Man Xtreme AND Bounty Hunter Sara.
In the meantime, Hideout he was a sound designer on the first two Resident Evil games and Resident Evil 5, together with the first Devil May Cry (and the HD collection of the trilogy) and Clock Tower 3.
As for their debut, unannounced project? Utsumi I simply say “stay tuned!” for more information.
