Singer Elle King recently made headlines after she criticized her father, Rob Schneider, for his political views and the way he parented her during her childhood. Now, the former Saturday Night Live Star asks for forgiveness from “Ex's & Oh's” singer.
Schneider dropped by The Tucker Carlson Show She opened up about her relationship with her daughter in an interview published on August 15. In a clip obtained TMZSchneider is asked about the recent public falling out between himself and King.
“Being a parent is fun, right?” he joked.

Accordingly TMZSchneider admitted to sending King to “fat camp” and forgetting his birthdays. Instead of making excuses for why she spoke out against him earlier this month, Schneider apologized for a lifetime of seemingly failing him.
“I just want to tell my daughter I love you, Elle, and I wish I was the father you needed in my 20s. And I clearly wasn't. And I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings,” he said. “I love you completely. I love you completely. And I just want you to be okay and be happy with you and your baby Lucky.” [born in 2021]”
“I wish you the best,” he concluded. “I feel terrible and I just want you to know that I don’t take what you said personally.”
Carlson asked how Schneider could take such a stance after her child publicly criticized her. For Schneider, it was all based on love. “I love her and all I want is for her to be happy and heal from this,” she said.
Meanwhile, King will be on tour for the rest of the year, until January. Schneider's first book You Can Do It!: Speak Your Mind, America It is expected to be released on September 24th.
