School of Rock stars Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli caused quite a stir earlier this week when they shared some photos on Instagram that heralded a very happy occasion.
Hale and Massagli met in 2003 on the set of the comedy film, in which Jack Black played backing singer Marta and Massagli played Frankie, the head of security for teenage band members. They reconnected in 2016 when Hale moved near where Massagli lived in Florida and have been partners ever since.
Black-and-white professional photos posted on Instagram last week show Hale and Massagli in formal attire atop a building in Brooklyn, surrounded by the Williamsburg Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. Hale wrote “Secret summit” in the title of the carousel consisting of four photos. In one, she shows off a large diamond ring on her finger.
It's unclear whether the photos hint at the couple's engagement or if they are already married. Hale did not immediately respond to a request for comment Men's Magazine. This latest set of photos is Hale's first post on Instagram since March 2021.
Despite their roles in one of the most memorable comedies of this generation, both Hale and Massagli later left the entertainment industry. Hale currently works as an OB-GYN sonographer, while Massagli is an accredited attorney with the New York State Bar Association. Massagli, although they didn't start dating until more than a decade after they first met Internal Printing When he first met Hale in 2021, he was blown away by her. “I'm going in [to the audition] and the little blonde girl next to me, she gets called out first and starts singing show tunes and blows the roof off the place,” Massagli said at the time. “It was perfect.”
