Shannon Sharpe has spoken out after sex scenes were broadcast live on the legendary broadcaster's Instagram account on Wednesday morning.
The clip, which quickly went viral online before being removed from Sharpe's account, appears to have been unknowingly recorded on someone's phone. Nothing is visible, but a woman can be heard moaning and a man making multiple expressions throughout the nearly five-minute clip, but it's impossible to determine if it's Sharpe.
After deleting the video, Sharpe released a statement claiming her account had been hacked. “Please note @shannonsharpe84 my Instagram was hacked this morning, my team and I are working hard to resolve this — UNC,” she wrote. Shortly after posting the statement, Sharpe also deleted it from her Instagram account.
It's impossible to tell who was in the video, but some have expressed doubts that Sharpe's account was actually hacked. “It's ridiculous to say it was hacked,” @JayLeesCorner wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “That guy was f—ing and his phone went live. No big deal. But now we all know when Shannon orgasms [sic] “he mutters. So there is such a thing… But it's just sex, not a crime.”
