Spectre Divide's Mountaintop Studio Lays Off 13 Employees

13 developers have been fired from Mountaintop Studios, the creators of the multiplayer tactical shooter Spectrum Divide.

In a statement obtained by Polygon Nicole CarpenterMountaintop CEO Nate Mitchell said the reductions “will ensure we are ready to support Spectrum and its community in the long term.”

“We can't thank these team members enough for their hard work and dedication. Spectrum in recent years,” he concluded.

Spectrum Divide was released on Steam on September 3. The free-to-play title pits two teams of three players against each other, allowing them to simultaneously control two bodies at once.

Mountaintop's layoffs follow job cuts at developers earlier this week Skybox Labs (a supporting study for Halo Infinite) AND Airship Union (Route Finder).

Additionally, 30 writers from various gaming publications under the guidance Gamurs Group they were fired.
