Star Trek Gets Its Own 'Infinity Snap' By Transforming The Classic Villain Into A Deadly Version Of Thanos

Warning: Contains spoilers for “The Final Masterpiece.” Star Trek #500!

Star Trek got his own version of the “Infinity Snap”, transforming the classic villain into a deadlier version. Thanos. Thanos' snap in the MCU was a chilling moment and a testament to his villainy. Now, in the story “The Last Masterpiece”. Star Trek #500, On a crusade to achieve godhood, Lore unleashes a more deadly version of himself, Infinity Snap.

“The Last Masterpiece” is the central story of the film Star Trek #500, written by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly and Christopher Cantwell and drawn by Davide Tinto. Using the Orb of Destruction to dismantle the universe, Lore tries to create the perfect model made in his image. He enlists Data to help him, but Data continues to frustrate his efforts. As the story comes to a conclusion, Lore gives Data one more chance to create his perfect universe. Lore snaps her fingers and the universe changes. The story is the beginning of the next year Lore War.

Lore's Legacy of Evil Star Trek Franchise, explained

Lore Is Star Trek The greatest nihilist

Lore has been front and center at IDW Star Trek comic line since the early days of “God of War”. Lore was previously dismantled and stored in Unit 31. He was freed, rebuilt, and sent into the military to fight Kahless, who destroyed the gods of the universe. While Lore helped stop Kahless, she captured his technology. Recruiting Kahless' former followers on the Red Road, Lore won't stop until he becomes a god and the universe wastes away before him. Lore sought out the Pleroma, the gathering place of the gods, but for nefarious reasons.

As seen in The Last Masterpiece, it wasn't enough for Lore to destroy all of creation: he had to recreate it in his own image.

Upon reaching the Pleroma, Lore unleashes her final, devastating gambit. Using the Orb of Destruction created by the Bajoran Prophets, Lore kills gods like Trelane and Charlie Evans before destroying the universe, finishing what Kahless started. As seen in The Last Masterpiece, it wasn't enough for Lore to destroy all of creation: he had to recreate it in his own image. Fans see Lore and Data try different things, none of which sit well with Lore. Irfan gets frustrated with Data's “boring” creativity and gives the impression that he is doing or dying for Data.

Lore's version of “Infinity Snap” is beyond Thanos

This is how Lore's desire to destroy and kill overwhelms Thanos.

Thanos from Marvel Comics does the Infinity Snap.

It follows Loren's last attempt to recreate the universe Star Trek “Infinity Snap” version. Trying to bring balance to the universe, the Mad Titan Thanos collects the Infinity Gauntlets. Consisting of six Infinity Stones, the Gauntlet was one of the most powerful objects in the universe, and Thanos broke his fingers when he decided to use it. In the blink of an eye, half the population of the universe disappeared. In both Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Infinity War, Snap was a chilling and unforgettable moment.

And now, Star Trek It has its own version courtesy of Lore. While Lore didn't have the Infinity Gauntlet, she did have the Orb of Destruction, arguably in the same class as the Gauntlet. Lore does not share Thanos' concern with balance, instead wanting to fulfill his nihilistic desires to kill and destroy. While Thanos' methods were extreme, they at least had a valid reason, but not so with Lore. Irfan personifies evil Star Trek universe and his version of “Infinity Snap” manages to surpass Thanos.
