Surgent Studios it said its games division was put “on pause” and the development team was left behind Kenzera's Tales: Zau he was warned for dismissal.

The studio explained that the decision was made while seeking funding for its next unannounced project. Surgent described his prototype as “darker and edgier” than Zau while maintaining the “high-octane combat and cultural depth” of that title.

Kenzera's Tales: Zau released last April. In July the firm was fired more than a dozen employees due to the “difficult times” in the gaming industry.

Just like then, Surgent reiterated its continued post-launch support for Zau with this new development. He also urged readers to purchase the game while it is on sale. “Your support helps move the needle as we search for the right partner,” it reads he said.

“We have some irons in the fire, but You can help you move the needle by telling us what you think Zau and if you want to see what Surgent can do next,” the founder added Abubakar Salim.

“There is still a lot of energy and enthusiasm in this incredible team, and we want to have a chance to come together again and build on what we did with our debut game.”
