Warning: This article contains spoilers from Kaos.
Season 1 of Netflix Chaos It came to a satisfying conclusion while leaving enough tantalizing questions and mysteries for a potential season 2. The prophecy that Zeus (Jeff Goldblum) fears and tries to keep from happening takes shape in the film. Chaos Season 1 ends with the three men of the prophecy in positions of power. Eurydice (Aurora Perrineau) is now a prophetess who has returned to Earth after dying in the Underworld.
With the help of Ariadne (Leila Farzad), the leader of Crete, Perrineau's character will spread the terrible truth about the gods and the Underworld. The prophecy trio is completed by Caeneus, who can renew souls in the Underworld's Nothingness. Zeus and his family are now at their most vulnerable since they became gods, as the rebellion against them grows stronger with the new power wielded by Riddy, Caeneus, and Ari, but many questions and mysteries remain.
10 Where are all the other gods?
Many of them are Absent in Season 1
Zeus, Hera (Janet McTeer), Poseidon (Cliff Curtis), Hades (David Thewlis) and Dionysus (Nabhaan Rizwan) all play prominent roles. Chaosthe other Greek gods are conspicuously absent from the series. Some of them, including Ares, Aphrodite, and Hephaestus, are referenced in season 1, but their whereabouts are not confirmed. Even on Zeus' birthday and when all the gods are summoned to Olympus, they are still left out of the story.
In Greek mythology, the gods took different sides during the war, as Hera, Athena, Poseidon, Hermes, and Hephaestus sided with the Greeks, while Apollo, Artemis, Ares, and Aphrodite sided with the Trojans.
The absence of other gods may be related to the Trojan War. In Greek mythology, the gods took different sides during the war, as Hera, Athena, Poseidon, Hermes, and Hephaestus sided with the Greeks, while Apollo, Artemis, Ares, and Aphrodite sided with the Trojans. The Trojans were shown to have suffered under Greek rule and The Kaos version of this war and its lasting effects may cause division among the gods. It is also possible that the other gods simply distanced themselves from Zeus because of his arrogance.
9 Who did Hera call?
The Mystery Individual Will Be Important In Season 2
Hera calls from the phone booth and says to the unknown listener on the other end of the line: “Honey, it's mom. Rally the troops. And make the spare bed.” Because he was about to go to war probably summoned Ares, the god of war, and one of his children in Greek mythology. It would make sense that Ares is someone who can quickly mobilize troops into battle, and if that is indeed him, it will be fascinating to see how he is portrayed. Chaos.
Hera is also the mother of Hephaestus.
Ares is not only the child of Hera, but also of Zeus. In episode 2 Chaoshe is one of the children called by Zeus during his birthday. Thewlis, who plays Hades, previously played the DC Extended Universe's version of Ares Wonder Womanhowever ChaosThe version of the character will feature a younger and possibly hotter version of the god, which will show how Zeus has children other than Dionysus in this modernized retelling of the mythology.
8 Why does Dionysus go to Arius?
The Two Characters Have Not Met Yet
In Chaos In the closing montage of season 1, Dionysus is seen standing in front of the palace in Crete, where Ari is ruling as the new leader. He holds a half-full bottle of Meander water, given to him by Zeus, and looks between the bottle and the palace, a clear sign of the inner conflict he feels about whether to side with the gods or men. Why does she go to Arius, especially as she watches him kill her father, President Minos (Stanley Townsend) and Dionysus mutter to himself? “I think I'm in love.”
Instead of continuing to pursue pleasure, Dionysus is now interested in love, but Ari is unlikely to reciprocate those feelings, especially after the gods destroyed his family. Any romance between Dionysus and Ari probably won't work out, but Dionysus could be a powerful ally for Ari and the rest of the rebellion to be on their side. For Dionysus to officially choose humans over gods would be a strong statement of defiance against Zeus.
7 What Happens If The Gods Fall?
Who or what will take their place?
Chaos focused on the unjust universe under the control of the gods and the rebellion that gradually formed against them, but not much attention was paid to what would happen when the gods actually fell. This reveals whether any higher power will still exist and whether the gods will be replaced by something or other. A universe where there is no higher power and people exercise their free will sounds too good to be true for a mortal Chaos characters.
This too raises questions about what ChaosThe universe was like it was when Zeus and his family were mere mortalsthen there is the question of whether there were any higher powers and, if so, what happened to them. Before Zeus gave control of the Underworld to Hades and before the Framework was created, death existed, and the afterlife looked different then. Chaos is a retelling of Greek mythology, but the show also has its own mythology to expand on.
6 Is the story of Orpheus over?
His Portion of Prophecy Seemed Complete
Orpheus' (Killian Scott) season 1 story revolved around his journey to the underworld to bring his wife Riddy back to the land of the living. He succeeds with great help along the way, but Riddy wanted to leave Orpheus before he died, and he still doesn't love her. The two characters say goodbye in the season 1 finale and go their separate ways as Riddy works to dethrone the gods and Orpheus must figure out what's next for him.
In his fourth-wall-breaking narrative, Prometheus (Stephen Dillane) makes it clear that as important as Orpheus thinks he is, he's just a pawn in a larger plan to dethrone Zeus. Now that Orpheus has played his part in bringing Riddy back from the underworld, his role in the story may be over. He is no longer a part of Riddi's life and does not share the same animosity towards his gods, although there is a possibility that he could be used as a pawn again.
5 Will Riddy or Orpheus find out what happened to Dennis?
Cat Death Should Not Go Unpunished
There is no shortage of terrible things in Zeus Chaoswhen one of the most devastating to watch he stabs Dennis the cat to death in front of Dionysus. Dennis was Riddy and Orpheus' cat, and when Orpheus went to the Underworld, he told Dionysus to take care of the cat creature. Dionysus developed an unexpectedly close relationship with Dennis, taking the cat everywhere, even to Olympus, where Zeus brutally killed Dennis.
As Riddy, Ari, and Dionysus work together to destroy Zeus, the god of pleasure may reveal what happened to Dennis, which will give Zeus even more reason to hate him and end his reign.
If Orpheus is truly cut out of the story, he may never learn the truth about what happened to Dennis. Riddy is more likely to learn the truth because she and Ari are on the road to reconciliation and Dionysus is seen outside his palace for the last time. As Riddy, Ari, and Dionysus work together to destroy Zeus, the god of pleasure may reveal what happened to Dennis, which will give Zeus even more reason to hate him and end his reign.
4 Who Else Is Part of the Rebellion Now?
Medusa was a surprising rebel
Prometheus is the first character to discuss a long-standing plan to rebel against Zeus, but as Chaos As season 1 progresses, it becomes clear that this rebellion is more widespread than the Olympians could have ever imagined. The Fates (Suzy Izzard, Che, Sam Buttery), Medusa (Debi Mazar) and Riddy's mother (Michelle Greenidge) are among the others revealed to be part of the rebellion. Hades is now a revolutionary who challenges Zeus as well.
As more characters are introduced, more rebels will undoubtedly emerge. As in Season 1 of Chaos, the rising resistors should be a combination of mortals and more powerful beings. Further subverting expectations of certain figures in Greek mythology, it would be compelling to include more characters such as Medusa, who tends to be portrayed as an amoral monster out to secretly work with the revolution.
3 What Exactly Are Ball Boys?
Season 1 Was Cruel To Them
On Olympus, Zeus has a group of boys who act as servants and are disposable. After Zeus's watch goes missing, he even lines up the ball boys and hits them one by one, demanding to know which one stole his watch, though none of them are held responsible. What's never explained is what exactly the ball boys are, whether they're people who can't leave Olympus, or if they're something else entirely.
are confirmed as mortal They are shown bleeding and dying after Zeus shoots them. It would be interesting if they were actually fairies or some sort of lesser spirit enslaved by the gods, further tying in the show's modern reimagining of Greek mythology. Regardless of whether the ball boys were human or something else, it would be fitting that the few survivors among them would join the wider rebellion and Zeus would take revenge on those who brutally killed them.
2 Can Caeneus renew all souls in nothing?
The Full Extent of His Powers Is Yet To Be Revealed
Caeneus' ability to renew himself and his mother after passing through the Frame is a game-changing power not even in Hades. it is so How Caeneus gained this power is yet to be confirmed or how he can control it apart from its relation to the central prophecy. Perhaps his love for his mother is what allows him to renew, along with the overall empathy he consistently displays throughout the season to help others in need.
Once Caeneus has a better understanding of his powers and how to channel them, he can teach Hades and potentially others what he's learned, so he doesn't have to take on the task of monumental renewal alone.
Even if Caeneus can regenerate each individual trapped in nothing with his regenerative abilities, he cannot regenerate them all as much as possible. He's going to need help, and it's arrived in the form of Hades, who is already in awe of what Caeneus has accomplished. Once Caeneus has a better understanding of his powers and how to channel them, he can teach Hades and potentially others what he's learned, so he doesn't have to take on the task of monumental renewal alone.
1 How exactly did Zeus absorb his Father's soul after killing him?
The back story of Zeus needs to be explored more
one ChaosThe most significant deviation from Greek mythology is that Zeus and other gods were not always immortal. When Zeus killed his father and absorbed his soul, he became immortal and gained his immense power. Drinking Meander water from this process to trust the frame and become immortal is an interesting twist on Zeus' story, but it still raises questions about how Zeus gained such great power in the first place.
As it was, it featured flashbacks of Prometheus' past story. It would have been helpful to have flashbacks that shed more light on Zeus' story when he was mortal and first became a god. The information in such a flashback could be essential to a rebellion to finally overthrow Zeus once and for all, or lead to the rise of a new universal dictator. This will further build the world Chaos' The mastery of Greek mythology continues to expand.
