Peanut – August 6, 1994

When most people play golf, they simply lift the ball up and hit it into the nearest hole. However, when Snoopy plays golf, he picks up the ball, walks away from it, turns to see if the ball is still there, then – if it is – goes back and hits it. Maybe it's because it's a dog and the object's permanence is a bit less. Or, perhaps Snoopy developed a superstitious ritual that ensured a great game of golf.

It is not clear why Snoopy plays golf like this, but what is clear is that he is completely exposed. But, naked or not, It's absolutely hilarious to watch Snoopy play golf in this determinedly unique wayand just reminds Peanuts fans why he's such an iconic character.

In the middle of writing a letter to an editor about sending her finished novel to them, Snoopy receives a reply in the mail from the editor in question which reads plainly “Don't do it.

Snoopy hadn't even finished writing the letter to the editor in question, let alone mailed it. The absurdity of the situation is absolutely ridiculous, as is the fact that Snoopy's writing career can't really catch a break.

Charlie Brown lets her talk without interruption, which is exactly what Mint Patty needs during her calls tonight. Charlie Brown's secret to being a great listener? Snoopy.

Although Charlie Brown was the one who answered the phone, this comic confirms that he was back on the floor moments after doing so. But this time, Patti wasn't satisfied with Charlie Brown's listening skills.nice word“To help him get through this difficult time. Obviously, Snoopy can't talk – he's just a dog. But that doesn't stop him from trying his best.

Snoopy offers a Peppermint Pattywow“By asking for a good wordbecause that's as close to human language as Snoopy can get. This is an incredibly nice gesture on Snoopy's part, since his only goal is to make Peppermint Patty feel better despite her physical inability to speak.

5 Marcie Tells Peppermint Patty What It Really Takes to Get Ready for School

Peanut – August 19, 1994

Peppermint Patty and Marcie do back-to-school shopping.

Patty goes through the usual supplies: pencils, paper, pens, binders – but she wants to make sure she doesn't forget anything. So after Patty asked Marcie if she was covered, Marcie Mint contains the one thing Patti really needs for school: brains.

It's no secret that Peppermint Patty isn't the biggest fan of school because she falls asleep more often than not during class. Therefore, it would be better to be extra smart as this will allow you to get all the sleep you want during the class you want without falling behind. Unfortunately, Mint Patty is not exceptionally smart and often falls behind in her studies, meaning that Marcy was telling the truth when she told Patty that all she needed for school was brains.

4 Linus ponders the dire outcome of a particularly strange “competition.”

Peanut – August 24, 1994

Lucy was counting Linus' toes.

Lucy assures Linus that she has five toes on each foot as the two sit together counting Linus's toes. Apparently trying to ease her little brother's anxiety, Lucy shouts, “It's a tie!“, because both feet have five toes. Then Linus says as he stands up to leave: “If there are playoffs, I have a problem…“.

Following this chain of logic, what Linus is implying here with his “playoff” comment has some pretty disturbing implications. The “competition” Lucy is talking about is the “number of toes” contest, and since both feet have the same number of toes, it's a tie. Therefore, If there was a “playoff,” that would mean Linus would lose some toesthat's a pretty sick idea, especially considering how innocently this conversation started.

Peanut – August 29, 1994

Completely taken aback by Peppermint Patty's rudeness, Marcie tells her that she doesn't need to make an excuse to skip school because there was no school to skip because it's summer.

Mint Patti doesn't care about school so much that she doesn't even know when she shouldn't be there.and it didn't bother him in the least that he hadn't been there for a while. Indeed, even during summer vacation, Peppermint Patty is still loose at school.

Peanut – August 23, 1994

Linus plays basketball, talking to the ball when he misses a shot.

Linus is the main character Peanut canon because he is Charlie Brown's best friend and offers a high level of intellectual insight into almost every situation well beyond his years. Plus, it's absolutely hilarious, especially when it's a two-parter Peanut It sees Linus doing something he's never been perfect at: playing sports – specifically basketball.

Linus tries to shoot some hoops, but he's too short to play on a standard-sized court. Therefore, he misses every shot he takes, but luckily Linus is not alone in this as the basketball itself becomes a business partner or co-worker. during this athletic endeavor. After missing the putt, Linus looks at the ball and says, “Don't get discouraged.. I'm new at this..“, as if the ball had any bearing on Linus' basketball skills.

1 Linus Treating Basketball As A Business Partner Is His Funniest Peanuts Joke

Peanut – August 30, 1994

Linus plays basketball, talking to the ball when he misses a shot.

In the second of these two parts Peanut arc, Linus tries to work with his partner (basketball) again to get him into the hoop. Linus takes another hit, but the result is the same: an air cannon. So as Linus talks to a co-worker, he looks at the basketball on the floor and says, “We don't have to do that, you know“.

It's like Linus is trying to work with someone to achieve a mutual goal, and that person just isn't pulling their weightso Linus decides to give them up entirely. Except, that “person” is a basketball player, and the “mutual goal” of making a basket is entirely his own. This is in two parts Peanut gag is easily one of the funniest Linus movies of all time and definitely one of the 10 funniest strips to turn 30!
