The Batsuit's most extreme ability gives Bruce Wayne superpowers like 1 Marvel Hero.

Batman really epitomizes the expression.Whatever you can do, I can do better” With the Batsuit's most extreme abilities, it puts the superpowers of any Marvel hero to shame. The Dark Knight not only matches that hero's metahuman abilities, but surpasses them, begging the question: If Batman can build a suit like that, what's the point of having superpowers? anything you can do, but better?”

Judd Winick and Doug Mahnke's Batman: Under the Red Hood primarily focuses on Jason Todd's return to Gotham and the chaos he brings, but he's not the only foe Batman faces in this epic tale. The Dark Knight also faces off against iconic villains like Amazo, Black Mask, and the Joker.

Batman vs. Vertigo in Batman Under the Red Hood p1

However, Batman reveals Batman's sonar-based ability during a battle with D-list villain Count Vertigo. This moment definitely shows why Bruce Wayne outshines Daredevil's Matt Murdock as well. To be clear, Screen Rant isn't knocking the iconic Marvel character; this is just a fun observation.

Batman has proven himself to be a better daredevil than Matt Murdock by fighting the blind and the deaf

Batman v Vertigo in Batman Under the Red Hood p2

Batman #647 (The Franchise, Part 2: The Away Team) sees Batman and Red Hood ambushed by Count Vertigo while also battling Captain Nazi and the Hyena. Count Vertigo's powers disrupt balance and make it nearly impossible for his victims to physically function. To counter this, Batman deploys his suit's eye patch and earplugs, effectively blinding and deafening himself. While this immediately neutralizes Vertigo's attack, Bruce is left temporarily damaged. However, in true Batman fashion, he quickly overcomes this by activating the suit's sonar system, allowing him to regain spatial awareness and continue the fight.

Despite having Batman's two primary senses down, he still wins the fight, demonstrating his ability to adapt to Murdock's power system. However, Batman takes it a step further than Daredevil's usual abilities, as Bruce also goes deaf during this encounter. While Murdoch compensates for his blindness with superhuman hearing and other enhanced senses, Bruce is left with only touch, smell, and taste, which do not give him the same advanced capabilities as Murdoch's superhuman senses. In this particular scenario, Batman is effectively outmatched by Daredevil himself.

Who Would Win In A Fight? Batman's Sonar Suit or Daredevil's Echo?

It is important to clarify that a blind/deaf Batman and a blind Daredevil perceive their surroundings differently. Daredevil primarily “sees” through sound, using echolocation to create a sonar image of his surroundings. In contrast, Batman, who lacks hearing and sight, relies only on sensing vibrations. Given these differences, if the two were to get into a fight, Daredevil would likely have the upper hand because he operates naturally under such conditions, while Batman is out of his normal range of sight and hearing. However, some fans may argue otherwise about who would win the fight Daredevil and blind/deaf Batman.
