Play as a delightful plant person with Pathfinder 2e Remastered’s Leshy heritages.

Halflings in are peaceful and curious, and you can find them in a lot of different places. Their heritages vary and they depend mostly on where your halfling comes from, so you’ll have some interesting options in front of you.

Imagine a tribe of halfling druids, their garb covered in leaves and branches, roaming the forests on a moonlit night — or maybe a stealthy thief, using their size and agility to hide from their pursuers. Whatever their story may be, these halflings spend a lot of time having adventures after sundown.

While this heritage is an easy choice for a character that fits into the nightly adventures theme, it also comes with an improvement to your sight. Your eyes grew accustomed to the dark, so you see much better than others in low light.

Do you want to tap into the natural curiosity of halflings? Do you like playing characters who love investigating the world around them and meeting some new people along the way? If so, this heritage might be a great idea for you. Whether you want to be an experienced traveler or a bright-eyed young halfling who just set off on the adventure of a lifetime, this heritage adds the most flavor to that sort of story.

How have Orc Heritages changed in the Pathfinder 2e shake-up?

Most of these halflings have been moving from place to place for as long as they can remember. This way of life gave them a chance to mingle with some people they otherwise wouldn’t meet, so this heritage gives you the ability to speak and understand two more languages than you would normally.

4 Wildwood Halfling

Probably coming from a cozy hut hidden somewhere deep in the forest, these halflings are very in tune with nature. Moreover, they are likely to be quick on their feet, agile, and comfortable in the woods, even in some places that others wouldn’t prefer. Whether you want to build a druid, or you just like living in the wilderness, you can find your tribe with the wildwood halflings.

The time you spent in deep forests or jungles of the world gives you the ability to find your way across that kind of terrain much faster than most. These places are where you feel at home, and if anyone needs a guide through the woods, you will most likely be the best candidate.

Wildwood halflings are very interesting if you want your character to have a connection with forests or jungles.

However, the ability you get from this heritage can prove situational, so think about talking to your GM about incorporating your skills into your game to maximize the fun you can have.

3 Gutsy Halfling

Although they’re mostly peaceful, with a tendency to keep to themselves, halflings are far from cowardly. They can stand their ground if they need to, they are proud to defend their home, and will support a worthy cause. If this seems to be in line with your ideas about your character, then this is the heritage for you.

Has the remastered affected the short yet fierce gnomes?

The character of gutsy halflings expresses itself in their remarkable ability to remain calm in stressful situations. This heritage makes your every successful saving throw against an emotion effect an automatic critical success, so if you want to be a warrior, steadfast in front of danger, this can prove both useful and fun.

Some halflings are quite different from their usually lucky cousins. They can be born with the ability to influence the fortunes of those around them in small yet meaningful ways. So, whether you’d like to play a trickster, or you want an interesting gimmick you can use in countless ways, you have a fun option in this uncommon heritage.

The inborn talent of jinxed halflings can be a very effective in-game ability, but it can also be extremely fun when it works in your favor. Instead of Halfling Luck, which you can’t gain as a feat, you get the Jinx action. If you can see your target and if they are close enough, you can curse them with clumsiness for a while, which is both useful and funny.

The Jinx action has a range of 30 feet and it requires a Will save from your target.

On a success, they are unaffected and immune to this ability for 24 hours.

On a failure, they become clumsy for one minute, while critical failure brings two minutes of clumsiness upon the unlucky soul you pointed out.

When you think about halflings, you probably think of a peaceful life, good food, cozy homes, and a friendly atmosphere. Hillock halflings represent all of those things. They are fond of relaxation and they love a good time. These halflings can be found living in small villages tucked into the green hills of the world, but their wanderlust often calls them away from home.

What makes these halflings an excellent heritage option is their natural ability to retain and regain their vitality. Whether it’s a good night’s rest or an ally treating your wounds, you regain Hit Points faster than a lot of other adventurers. This ability is always useful, and so hillock halflings can find their way into any adventuring party.
