The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom it offers plenty of echoes for Zelda to use to save the realm, but it also has six machine guns at your side that can shoot as long as you know how to unlock them. These little 'bot buddies are optional and relatively easy to miss if you're not looking for them, but they can be very useful, especially when fighting enemies in large groups. To start, you'll need to find Dampé after clearing the Hyrule Castle dungeon and beating Ganon a second time.
If you're not interested in orders, the vending machines can be skipped entirely. You can play the entire game and never need one, but they are very useful, so it's worth the time spent unlocking them all. Dampé will help you create all six using the various echoes and items you'll find on your adventure. If you're like me, many of these Echos will already be unlocked, so crafting the vending machines should be easy.
How to unlock vending machines in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Finding humidity is easier said than done, but check out the Hyrule area
After completing the Hyrule Castle dungeon and freeing the king, Dampe should appear somewhere in Hyrule Field. Unfortunately, where it appears seems random, so you'll have to do some exploring before you see it. I found it in Hyrule Ranch, but no guarantee where it will show up. When you find him, beat the crow that's bothering him, after which he'll head to his workshop.
The workshop is located to the north of the East Temple, and there is a passage point that you can use for easy access. If you pass the Eastern Temple on the way, be sure to pick up the stamp there for the Stamp Guy quest, which may reward you with some useful items. Go to Dampé's workshop, where he will explain that he needs your help in building the automatons and give you access to his journal, which you must read and decide which one you want to make first.
How to build a Techtite vending machine
Select “Automatic Engineer Dampé” by bringing in two echoes
Technically, each automaton has its own quest. First, Techtite, Dampé will ask you to bring the two echoes you should already have, Tektite and Mothula.

“Big-eyed creature – the kind that's always jumping around“ |
Tektite Echo |
Seesyde Village, W Hyrule Field |
“Something that emits hot smoke from the back to blow forward” |
Mothula Echo |
Gerudo Sanctum 2F |
Both of these are pretty simple to get, so if you don't already have them, jump on them, beat each one, and learn Echo. After obtaining both echoes, bring them to Dampe's workshop and place them on his workbench.
Dampé will quickly throw down a Techtite Automaton, which jumps around and releases an AoE blast around it to attack. Overall, I find AoE Echoes the most useful since accuracy with the controller isn't my strong suit, but if Techtite isn't for you, there are still five more autos to build.
How to build Tocktorok slot machine

To complete this quest, you must complete the crack in Eldin Volcano, so come back later if you haven't already. If you did, you should bring Octorok Echo and Firework Echo.

Basa will ask you to find Blastpowder Soil that she can use to make fireworks. To find some, return to Eldin Volcano to find the golden flowers that can be found in the northwest part of the area. These flowers indicate that there is Blastpowder Soil in the area, so contact the glowing part of the ground to collect it.
Talk to Basa again to give him the Land, then learn the firework echo from the firework he made. You should go back to Dampey, place the two Echoes in place, and then he will spawn a Tocktorok. It's a mechanical octopus that shoots fireworks at your enemies. It has a relatively high rate of fire and can burn your enemies but doesn't do much damage.

Before you can participate in the flag races, you will need to purchase your first horse. After walking around, go to the Ranch house to talk to the woman inside to enter the Flag Race. It will cost you 10 rupees and you have to clear both courses in the shortest possible time by hitting five flags on your route. Once you do, the woman will give you the jukebox and you can take it back to Dampe.
It will build you Gizmol, which is another variant of Zol. He sings, dances and shoots bubbles that damage enemies. These bubbles extend, covering the battlefield with potential damage and AoE control.

You'll also need the Deku Baba Echo, which you can find in Suthorn Ruins 1F. Dampé will make you a High-Teku Baba after you bring him both items, mainly a metal trap. It doesn't move, so once you place it, you'll have to lure enemies into itbut for trickier enemies, it can be useful to give you an attack window.

In Slumber Dojo you will encounter several enemies and you will be given time to defeat them. Complete six common stages on any difficulty to obtain the Heirloom Katana. Use everything at your disposal, including the interaction object in the room and your Echoes, to defeat anything thrown at you. Golden Fan |
Gerudo Desert Oasis |
Dampé will ask for a Crow Echo and a Golden Fan, which you can get from the Mango Rush minigame in the Gerudo Desert Oasis. To earn it, you need to beat the Standard and Live seed challenges, which should be pretty simple.
After you bring these last two materials to Dampey, he will make you a Goldfinch. This is an improvement on Crow; he descends from the sky and attacks the enemies, extracting rupees from them. However, it is slightly more efficient than the Crow and will drop more blue and red rupees than the Crow.
There is one final interaction you can have with Dampé in his workshop; he will only offer you a trade for five Monster Stones. If you accept, he'll give you the Clockwork Bangle, which allows you to assemble the automatons faster. Wristband is one of the many accessories that will make your Vending Machines easier to use The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
