The North Face’s Huge But Lightweight $399 6-Person Tent Is on Sale for Just $100 at Dick’s Sporting Goods

The North Face’s camping tents are some of the most sought-after on the market, drawing digital crowds when they go on sale online. The brand’s flagship Wawona models are so popular that we’ve seen them sold out at REI twice after they were temporarily discounted. If you’re looking for a tent from The North Face right now, the best place to look is Dick’s Sporting Goods, where one of the brand’s largest models has dropped nearly $300 in price.

The North Face’s Sequoia 6 Tent is now on sale for just $100—75% off the original price of $399. This six-person tent is currently the least-known deal at Dick’s, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see it sell out in a few days. Although it’s only available in one color—a vibrant and very distinctive yellow and orange combination—it also comes in a smaller four-person size that’s also on sale for just $90.

This spacious three-season tent can sleep up to six campers, but would be much more comfortable for three to four people with some gear storage. Its single-wall canopy is made of 75-denier recycled polyester with a polyurethane coating that helps shed water if the weather turns foul, and the floor is a much more durable waterproof 150-denier polyester to help combat ground abrasion. The front door and rear window/rear escape door are double-walled, feature mesh panels for improved ventilation and snap-in roll-up doors, and even feature two narrow mesh panels on opposite sides to ensure constant airflow. The tent weighs approximately 14 pounds and fits into an included stuff sack.

The Sequoia 6 Tent is a surprisingly good deal, but there are surprisingly few reviews online—even on Reddit—because it appears to be an older model. We did manage to find reviews for this model and the slightly smaller Sequoia 4 Tent at an outdoor retailer in Canada called Altitude Sports.

One shopper who used it said the larger six-person tent offered plenty of space for sleeping. “You can’t go wrong,” they said. “Comfortable, roomy, great material, perfect height. Five people slept super comfortably with plenty of room for bags.”

Shoppers using the smaller four-person tent noted that it was “very simple to set up” and had “excellent wind and rain resistance,” while another shopper praised the tent for its “excellent construction and materials.”

There may not be much to research online about The North Face’s Sequoia tents, but one thing is for sure: They’re a great deal to get with up to 75% off the regular price. We’re almost certain these tents will sell out soon, so be sure to grab one for yourself ASAP.
