The Age of Empires 3 will be delisted on October 30, 17 years after its release. Taking Steam, Xbox Game Studios has announced that the beloved PC version will also shut down its servers on the same date.
“After many years of support, we will be withdrawing the title from sale,” says Xbox Game Studios. “Additionally, multiplayer services for the game will cease to function on October 30, 2024. This is because the technology is no longer supported.”

Players who already own the game will be able to continue playing the 2007 original offline after October 30, with the campaign and skirmish content continuing to function as intended.
