One of my biggest questions about Greta Gerwig's upcoming film The Chronicles of Narnia an adaptation is what actors will be cast to embody the roles for a new generation. I believe Gerwig will be the right director to bring the world Narnia life despite the enormous pressure of living up to audience expectations. Gerwig won't be the only one being scrutinized, however, as actors taking on the iconic roles will have to respect the original performers while making the characters their own. Fortunately, There is one actor that I could logically see making a comeback.
In the world of Narnia, there are many intelligent talking animals that the Pevensie interact with. Note that the Lion is the King of Animals and one of the most vital characters in Narnia. He is a talking Lion who appears in every episode. Liam Neeson plays Aslan in the early movies, and I find Neeson's voice almost as iconic as his face in many of his roles. Gerwig's Narnia the reboot should address certain issues in the books, but given what he took from the movies, I'd be interested to see if he asks Neeson to come back.
I would love to see Liam Neeson return as Lion in Greta Gerwig's Narnia Remake
There is no one else who can embody the lion like him
Of the actors who could return for Gerwig NarniaNeeson makes the most sense. Not only is he a recognizable figure, he created the character and is still deeply associated with it for many viewers. I would be surprised to see Aslan again in Gerwig's films with a new voice. Since voicing the lion in Disney films, Neeson has taken his skills to many different genres and franchise, showcasing his range as an actor. He has recently been linked with action thanks to his role in the film Received I could see him returning to the fantasy world in the movies.
As other actors from the original series have aged out of their roles, new child actors will play the Pevensies, as well as most of the supporting characters. However, the characters of Aslan and other animals could easily be portrayed by the same actors. There's no reason Neeson can't reprise his role because he never physically appears in the films; only his voice is heard. It would be a mistake for Gerwig not to take advantage of the opportunity to bring Neeson back and wrap up their projects in the first installments.
Why Liam Neeson Made the Perfect Lion in Disney's Chronicles of Narnia Movies
There is no one else who can anchor films like him
Aslan plays an important role Narniafor he is a mythical figure who always appears when he is most needed. It is presented through the eyes of the Pevensies The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and they marvel at his majesty and the way he inspires them to become the saviors of Narnia. There are times when I feel frustrated that Aslan doesn't intervene more in CS Lewis's books, but it allows the characters to grow. Beneath the kindness and strong morals of any actor portraying a lion, there must be a simmering power and anger, as in every work. The Chronicles of Narnia movie.
Neeson's speech has a powerful mix of authority and kindness that conveys Aslan's strength and empathy.
Neeson's speech has a powerful mix of authority and kindness that conveys Aslan's strength and empathy. He must be an almost godlike figure, but he is also a comforting presence who guides the Pevensies in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and other children in later parts. It's a difficult balance to strike, and few modern actors can do justice to the role after Neeson's definitive portrayal. Small ones though Narnia characters that the remake should expand upon, the series should also invest in the original characters.

Original Lion Actor Greta Gerwig to Bring More Star Power to Reboot
For the next Narnia movies to work, big names need to be involved
Joining Neeson in future films will give Gerwig's adaptation the boost it needs to reach a wider audience. It's possible that the films will feature a lot of new actors, which would be interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing a new generation of performers make their mark on the franchise. However, the participation of well-known stars in the project also creates interest in the project and ensures its success. Perfect as Neeson While his performance as the lion is memorable, it won't drown out the rest of the story or take the Pevensies' attention.
Gerwig is expected to direct the first two films in the new film
Narnia
franchise.
The fall of Disney Chronicles Narnia movies is that only the first few novels have been adapted and the ending of the story is left open. Since only the first two films have been confirmed, the franchise potential of Gerwig's films rests on the popularity of the upcoming adaptations. I feel like the new movies should stand out and have their own adaptation, but having Gerwig touch on the first movies and create nostalgia for them with Neeson playing them would be a great way to bridge the gap between iterations.
