It was interesting because I don't have much experience different types of pianos. I think it would have become clear to me sooner if there had been more hints that it was specifically a piano, but I didn't work it out at first. I think looking at UPRIGHT and GRAND has the best potential to figure you out, but it may also depend on whether or not you mix it with Bass.

It's a little easier, and I gravitated to it first because these words all have a different feel than the others. COUNT is a slightly different definition that I wouldn't normally put in this category certainly appropriate in other contexts. Either way, this felt like the easiest and most obvious category to enter in today's puzzle, and I hope you did too.

It's hard if you're not familiar with a A wide spectrum of higher education in the United States. Fortunately, if you recognize just one of these and connect the other names to it, you can look up what other college names are. DUKE and HOWARD feel most recognizable, BROWN comes next. SMITH is a little more difficult because of how common it is, especially given the number of common surnames in the purple category today.

It's difficult and oddly quite specific. I think the best hope is that you recognize these as half of the company name then discover that they all share a common ampersand. Maybe your brain works differently than mine and you may figure out the connection ahead of time, but it's best to have these words last in the puzzle so you don't have to figure the connection out yourself.
