If you're not, you're actually NOT. You can be SOMEWHERE ELSE, making people think you're going to MIA. It's fun to see how often words with the same meaning are nevertheless used together. Gone and MIA is a good example of this and is interesting in the context of how the puzzle works. JAM and PACK in the last puzzle felt the same way, because I think they are used together more often than they are used separately, at least in certain dialects.

CHAMPION |
A CHEERLEADER |
EXPONENT |
Things can get a little confusing here, as CHEERLEADER can easily be matched with words in later categories to express more of a high school stereotype. But in this context there are these words about how to support or ADVOCATE something or someone.
CHAMPION is a double entendre that can be confusing, but not as much as the other. EXPONENT is also not a word I would use in this way, but it often is with such words. Connections puzzle.

PUNK |
Here, GOTH is probably the most obvious example of what can happen with a cheerleader, but so can PUNK. But if you take a step back and look at the words, thinking about it in musical terms clicks.
However, sometimes it still amazes me when I think about the fact that there are as many genres of rock as there are genres of music in general. This explains why everyone in my life, if asked who their favorite rock band is, will answer with a different band.

THE HORROR |

VALUE |
THE WAVE |
SHOCK VALUE and SHOCK WAVE are the best examples here and which most people will immediately recognize. SHOCK horror also has certain cultural connotations, but usually the goal of the horror genre is to shock.
I had never heard of a shock JOCK before so this was new and I was a little worried about keeping it on the lookout. Don't worry, but I've done it carefully so you don't have to, and it's just a radio DJ saying shocking, truly shocking things.
