Tom Brady may be retiring from the NFL for good this time around — but that doesn’t mean he’s letting himself go. On Monday, the 47-year-old former quarterback gave fans some insight into his workout routine, which now includes swimming in addition to his regular cardio.
“Color analysts gotta stay in shape too!” Brady captioned a Monday Instagram post, referring to his new job as lead color commentator. NFL on Fox“I added some swimming to my workout routine this year… Great muscular endurance and some aerobic cardio all in one,” she shared alongside her Monday morning workouts.

Along with the shirtless workout photos, Brady explained that the swim course consisted of four 100-meter freestyle relays, four 25-meter sprint relays with 25 meters of recovery, and then two back-to-back 200-meter freestyle relays.
And that was just the swimming portion of his morning workout. Brady followed that up with 20 weighted step-ups on the plyometric box with 35-pound weights, 20 heavy resistance-band push-ups, and 20 box jumps. And this circuit is definitely not for the faint-hearted, as Brady shared that he did it an impressive four times.
But it’s not the first time Brady has modestly bragged about his workout regimen. Last month, he gave fans a glimpse into a bench press session where he attempted to reach his maximum weight after nearly two decades. And earlier this year, the seven-time Super Bowl champion showed that he can run a 40-yard dash faster at age 46 than he did at age 22.
Brady appears to be aging backwards, but for now, at least, he's leaving the game to younger NFL players.
