British studio Ballistic Moon, developer behind the upcoming Until dawn remake for PS5 and PC, appears to have laid off an unspecified number of employees.
Linkedin posts from several employees indicate that several roles have been cut at the firm, with Animators, programmersAND designers all apparently affected.
“Like many others in this wonderful but turbulent industry, I have sadly been laid off from my role as Junior Game Designer at Ballistic Moon,” wrote a former employee“The team has been wonderful and I can’t wait for our game to launch in October.”
Another person said he was fired after working on the Until dawn remake for “two years”.
“Unfortunately I was laid off as a technical designer. I loved working with everyone at BM and hope to cross paths with members of that family on future projects,” they added.
Game Developer has viewed LinkedIn posts from five employees who say they were fired from Ballistic Moon. Other publications like IGN They report that at least 11 employees could have been laid off.
Ballistic Moon has not yet released a public statement. The game developer has reached out to the studio for more information.
THE Until dawn The remake, billed as a “rebuilt and improved” version of the horror title, is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024.
