This current Venom is Old Man Venom, a version of Dylan Brock from a shattered future who went back in time to save the day during the Venom War. In Poison #37 Torunn Grønbekk, CAFU, Frank D'Armata and Clayton Cowles, Venom comes to Doctor Strange in the past Before Venom is recognized in the Marvel Universe and asks for his help.
It's the perfect banter that fans of both the comics and the MCU can expect between not just two heroes, but three: Stephen Strange, Venom, and his host.

Doctor Strange is no longer the only magical character. Looks like he has a friend.
As Venom dives into the world of magic, Doctor Strange dives into the future and sees a vision of what's to come. Together, only they can stop the upcoming MCU in a way that will satisfy longtime comic book fans and fans alike. Considering that Marvel has already shown fans their friendship in the distant future, here comes the newest dynamic duo that no one expected yet – Poison and Doctor Strange.

Summary
When combined with the passionate alien symbiote Eddie Brock, the result is the supervillain Venom, a classic and fan-favorite addition to Spider-Man's rogues gallery. While Brock isn't the only person the Venom symbiote has bonded with, he is the most recognizable and popular, thanks in part to his appearances in Spider-Man and the standalone films.
