Vince Vaughn received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, nearly 30 years after he starred in the career-changing role in the 1996 comedy. SwingersThe 54-year-old made a rare public appearance as he received the honour alongside his Canadian real estate agent wife Kyla Weber and the couple's two children Vernon and Locklyn.
The actor appeared alongside his family in a stylish dark grey suit, white T-shirt and black trainers, while Weber opted for a hot pink dress. Vernon proudly held up a plaque embossed with his father's name as the couple's identical children posed among them on the red carpet.
Vaughn also praised his wife of 14 years and his children in his speech.
“To my beautiful wife Kyla, I'm so glad you're with me on this. I'm so grateful for you and these beautiful children and all the laughter we share together,” Vaughn said. “You guys aren't as lucrative and you don't give me the kind of access to things that these things provide,” Vaughn joked. “But with all that being said, you guys are the most important thing and I love you so much. It's great to be with you.”
Vaughn and Weber were married on January 2, 2010, less than a year after they announced their engagement to the public. Their two children were born in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Before their marriage, Vaughn had a brief but notable relationship with Jennifer Aniston from 2005 to 2006, which perhaps explains why he has kept his personal life private since then.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony comes just days before Vaughn's next project, the Apple TV+ comedy series, debuts Bad Monkey It will premiere on August 14th.
