Some Survivors have a Strange Prism skin that can be unlocked by finding their unique shard somewhere in the world. These differ for each character that has one, so you’ll need to keep an ever-vigilant eye as you survive on Petrichor V if you want to unlock them. Below, we’ll take a look at exactly how to find the Prism Shard for Commando to unlock his unique skin.
Where To Find Commando’s Strange Prism Shard
Commando’s Prism is found on the Desolate Forest map. You can play on any character and on any difficulty to unlock this skin, but it will only appear on a specific variation of the Desolate Forest.
This doesn’t apply for Commando, but you need to have the character unlocked to get their Prism skin.
On the Desolate Forest map, you’ll be looking for the variation of the map that has a dead tree all the way at the top left corner. Here, you’ll see blue vines extending below the ground. Stand above these vines and move down to start climbing down them.
Keep climbing down, past the large vertical chamber, and into a second chamber. Here, as you approach, Commando’s Prism will appear. Simply touch it to unlock his skin.
It may take a few tries to find this specific variation of the Desolate Forest. If you start a new run and you arrive at the Dried Lake, you can instantly restart, as Commando’s Prism will not appear on this map.
Commando’s Prism Skin
Commando’s Prism skin looks very similar to his default skin, with a few key differences. The Prism skin is a much more vibrant yellow color than the default orange, and the Commando’s orange visor is instead light blue. If you like the classic look of Commando but want a subtle difference, the Prism skin is the perfect option.
This skin is visually similar to Commando’s appearance in Risk of Rain 2.
