Why the 7 Dwarves Don't Become the Gwart of the Ring in The Lord of the Rings (When Men Do)

Warning! Spoilers for Rings of Power season 2, episode 7!

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 explained why Men became Ringwraiths and Dwarves didn't. As in the Tolkien canon, Sauron gave the Seven Rings of Power to the Dwarves in the Prime Video series and plans to distribute the Nine to Men in future episodes. This should lead to the corruption of these lords and kings, eventually turning them into the familiar Ringwraiths of old. The Lord of the Rings. Of course, canon dictates that this isn't the same fate that befell the Dwarves – why not?

Although author JRR Tolkien had his own explanation for why Men became invisible spirits, rather than Dwarves doing Sauron's bidding endlessly, Rings of power provided another possible answer. It all depends on how the Rings are made and the materials used. Logged in earlier Rings of power 2 seasons, Celebrimbor created the Seven for the Dwarves using mithril from his minesand it was an effective source of power. However, before making Nine for Men, the mithril ran out. So Sauron gave Celebrimbor a different substance to use.

Sauron Puts His Blood on the Ninth in the Rings of Power Season 2

Sauron's blood creates a more intimate connection

After trying and failing to get more mithril from Khazad-dum Rings of power Season 2 Sauron mysteriously provides Celebrimbor with a vial of powdered ore. But none of this is what it seems. The Dark Lord actually gave the Lord of Eregion a vial of his own blood and used his magic to manipulate what Celebrimbor perceived as truth. In Rings of power 2 seasons, 7 episodes, Celebrimbor appears to have crafted the Nine using a mithril substituteit is sure to have a significant impact on how the Rings connect to Sauron's power.

In Rings of powerthe lore version, mithril, comes from the light of the Silmarils, and therefore from the light of the Two Trees of Valinor. Even though Sauron corrupted the Seven Rings, they are still rooted in something good and pure. The Nine Rings for Men is now a completely different story. They are of Sauron's blood – made from his own dark evil. The Dark Lord will undoubtedly have a stronger level of control over their ownersso it makes sense that they would eventually slip into complete darkness themselves, thus bringing in the Ringwraiths.

Power Rings Answers Not Fully Compatible With Canon

Sauron and the Nazgül Rings in Lord of the Rings

Rings of powerThe reason why the Nine Men are Ringwraiths differs from Tolkien's explanation. In The Lord of the Rings As you know, the Seven and the Nine were designed similarly because Celebrimbor intended them all to be used by the Elves. After stealing them from Eregion, Sauron chose to give them to Dwarves and Men, but both Middle-earth races handled the evil of the Rings differently. Dwarves are naturally more resistant to Rings of Power. Their greed turned to 100 percent, but they never fell under Sauron's sway. Men are more corrupt.

Nazgul is the Black Speech word for Ringwraith.

Sauron's blood trick is an interesting twist, though not strictly law Rings of power. The Dark Lord explained that Celebrimbor himself had taught him that all creation required great sacrifice, and it was through this lesson that he realized that his own blood could work as a substitute for mithril. This line has since been the creation of Middle Earth's darkest weapon The Lord of the Rings It dictates that Sauron pours his power into his One Ringthus he devoted himself completely to it. Rings of power seems to make the process more literal.

After becoming Nazgul, the Nine Men joined Sauron, just as Sauron was bound to the One Ring.

If Sauron uses his own black blood to create the Nine Rings of Power and his own One Ring, it furthers the idea that this substance has something to do with the transformation of the Ringwraith. After becoming Nazgul, the Nine Men were bound to Sauron, just as Sauron was bound to the One Ring. When the Dark Lord left his great weapon, his power weakened and he temporarily lost his form. When this happens, his Nazgul also lost the ability to formonly reappeared when Sauron regained power. Rings of power's is an interesting way to explain the exact cause of blood clots.
