In Krypton era #3, Wonder Woman officially claims her title “ambassador” As Adam Strange describes in his letter to Bruce Wayne “miracle” of the woman encountered during the arctic expedition. Strange begins his letter by explaining that he and his crew were attacked by a monstrous beast that would have surely killed them if not for the woman in question. Then he writes that “To call this stranger a illustrious soldier in his realm would do him scant justice, for he has more than proved himself. A warrior-poet, perhaps. Or a diplomat, an ambassador…? No. Ambassador.”
Longtime fans of Wonder Woman will probably agree that Diana is an ambassador above all else. However, the story does not rely on past perceptions to lend credibility to this title; instead, it is directly supported through the actions of the story. Diana battles a centipede-like creature that attacks Strange and his men, and despite a fierce battle, he consistently seeks a resolution that prevents bloodshed for allincluding a hostile animal. His words to the creature, “Go now, while you can. We don't need to love each other to live apart in peace.” especially emphasizing his role as an ambassador.
