Black Myth: Wukong Fans yearning for more may be in luck because a new rumor claims that developer Game Science is working on DLC. Following its massive success on every platform, especially Steam, the team feels behind it Black Myth: Wukong will have additional plans for the game to provide more content to players. Given the format and genre, an expansion that adds new boss encounters and locations is just one of several opportunities to enhance an already impressive game.
According to leaker Lunatic Ignus on X (formerly Twitter), Game Science intends to release two DLCs Black Myth: Wukong.
It is based on audio files found by an unknown source that feature content from characters Buddha and Jade Emperor as well as Nazha; if the information is true, the expansions will likely focus on them and possibly spawn a full sequel. What's in store for Black Myth: Wukong
The future is still unknown
given Black Myth : Wukong's success, One has to imagine that Game Science at least entertained the idea of turning the game into a franchise.. Adding DLC can be a great first step: beyond simply providing dedicated players with more content, it can help set up future games with new story hooks and mechanics. It's certainly an attractive strategy, but one must consider the development time behind such a project.
Game Science is a relatively small team of independent creators that took years to finally ship Black Myth: Wukong and while DLC usually doesn't take long to develop, it may still be a few years before any expansion gets through the door. If a studio like Bethesda takes more than a year to launch Starfield's first expansion, Game Science, one has to imagine it will take longer. It is possible that DLC projects were planned from the beginning of production, which could result in a faster development cycle.
Black Myth: WukongGiven the game's success, its future looks incredibly positive, but Game Science's approach remains uncertain. The studio has yet to officially confirm any plansso fans will just have to wait and see what happens with The Destined One. Having said that, selling over 10 million units certainly makes a sequel seem like a good idea.
