A Slow Battle With Difficult Swings Is Not Much Fun
Captain Wise Voice can be found in the prison area found in Pagoda Realm, Chapter Three. Black Myth: Wukong with some difficult guard enemies. As the final boss of the area, Captain Wise Voice is a giant creature with long legs that is vulnerable to attacks, with a central golden core, so it's easy to squeeze out good damage every time he goes down. Later enemies like the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master or the final boss of the game are more difficult, but more exciting to master. The lowering of Captain Wise-Voice's stats makes it easier to appreciate the beautiful presentation of the Pagoda Realm boss rather than dwelling on how slow and frustrating the fight can be.
Although the patch is less than 2GB on PC, it requires 80GB of free space to temporarily store the file, which can be frustrating for anyone pressed for space.
There is always the possibility that GameScience will regulate others Black Myth: Wukong boss in the future, but if Captain Wise-Voice is the only one to patch it, the game will still be better for it. While no other bosses received a nerf in the game's first update, Yaogaui King Lingxuzi may also be slightly easier, as optimization for hair effects may help framerate issues in combat. Black Myth: Wukong's boss fights are consistently the highlight of the game, so it's nice to see GameScience taking notice.
