Xbox’s compact fridge can hold ten times as much as its mini fridge and just had its price cut.
People poked fun at Xbox three years ago when it revealed the Series X because its latest console looked a little bit like a fridge. Leaning into the bit as forcefully as it possibly could, fast forward to 2023 and there are now three different varieties of Series X mini fridge on the market. The original Xbox mini fridge, a slightly smaller one that came after, and now a bigger one that can hold ten times as much as the original.
Best of all, the biggest Xbox mini fridge is currently available for less at Walmart. Down to $198 from the usual $250, using the word mini to describe this particular Xbox fridge would do it a disservice. That’s likely why neither Xbox nor Walmart uses the word mini anywhere in the product’s description. It is smaller than a full-sized refrigerator though, so the word compact has been used instead, but you can fit a hell of a lot in this compact appliance.

Xbox’s compact refrigerator plays on the fact the Series X looks a lot like a mini fridge. Quite a bit bigger than the console and the original mini fridge Xbox release, the compact refrigerator has a 91-liter capacity, meaning it’s capable of holding quite a lot of food and drink.
Idle Sloth has provided the dimensions of all three Xbox fridges so anyone who plans on picking one up this holiday season can get a better idea of just how much they differ in size. The original mini fridge is 18 inches high, nine inches wide, and nine inches deep. The compact version is almost twice the size across all three of those dimensions. More than 33 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and nearly 19 inches deep. Those beefed-up dimensions combined make the compact fridge capable of holding more than ten times as much as the original mini fridge.
With a 91-liter capacity vs. the nine liters of space available in the original, you can fit a heck of a lot more than a few cans of Monster in the Xbox fridge Walmart currently has on sale. The inside of the door alone has room for 18 cans, and there’s even a small freezer compartment at the top. Not to mention a draw at the bottom designed to keep fruit and veg fresh. All told, you’re getting something closer to a fully functioning refrigerator than a mini fridge, and right now it can be yours for less than $200.
