Mediterranean below deck Season 9 is coming to an end and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich is not coming back for another season. Captain Sandy Yawn led a troubled crew, with potential producers chef Jonathan Shillingford and stew Bree Muller causing trouble all season. Brie and Ellie's feud over lead deckhand Joe Bradley certainly didn't help, but their incompetence only added to the tension of the three-person in-house crew. In reality, Carrie has the head stew experience and is better at it than Ellieso it makes sense that Ayesha gives him more responsibility. After Carrie arrives, Ellie is upset that she wasn't given the role of bartender, but Ellie's drinks have been consistently bad throughout the season. However, Ellie is angered by the addition of Carrie as she feels her power has been usurped.

Meanwhile, guests aboard the Mustique have had an infinitely better experience since the onboard crew grew. Ellie says she wants to be the head stew, but she can't even shed her ego as the second stew. He should be grateful to Carrie, but instead he is jealous of her. Ellie needs to put in the work and time to become a hottie and change her attitude. Instead of focusing on himself, he should focus his energy on pleasing the guests. Only then can he improve his work.

Ellie's focus on power and hierarchy confused the entire inner circle. The addition of Carrie should have been a saving grace for stews that were all stretched too thin. Ellie even picked out all of Carrie's decor, insisting on her vision for signs and balloons.

Carrie was hired as a floater, meaning it was her job to go wherever Aesha told her to go. Bossing Carrie around, Ellie tried to usurp power from the main stew.

By insisting on hierarchy, Ellie failed the crew. Therefore, Aisha was right to break it. It remains to be seen if Ellie can change her tune for the remainder of the charter, but regardless, she shouldn't return for another season. Mediterranean below deck.
