Elon Musk Makes 'Chilling' Proposal to Taylor Swift After Presidential Approval

Following Tuesday night’s presidential debate, Taylor Swift, as expected, ended up endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in a clearly not-so-subtle bit of timing. While Swift’s endorsement quickly rallied Harris supporters, it also inadvertently led to a comment from Elon Musk that many immediately called “creepy.”

The 34-year-old, who doesn't have children but has three cats—Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button, the latter of which she accompanied with her announcement—signed off her Instagram post with the caption, “Taylor Swift, the Childless Catwoman,” a reference to comments vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance made to Tucker Carlson in 2021. At the time, Peasant Elegy The author claimed that the United States was run by “childless cat ladies” and that they were “imposing their misery on the rest of the country.”

Immediately after Swift announced his support, Musk made assessments of the X (formerly Twitter) platform, which he purchased for $44 billion in 2022 and which subsequently caused many users and advertisers to flee en masse.

“Okay Taylor… you win… I'll give you a child and I'll protect your cats with my life,” Musk wrote, perhaps referring to his 12 children from three different women.

Regardless of one’s political views, most people would agree that offering to impregnate a woman he doesn’t know doesn’t paint him in a very positive light, and like many of Musk’s other wisecracks, this offer certainly fell flat in the expensive echo chamber.

“I understand that you proposed to Taylor Swift?” he wrote, while others commented, “This is so weird dude,” “This shit is creepy dude,” and “You're creepy and weird.”

Others wondered what Swift's boyfriend, 6'1″ Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, would think of the indecent proposal. “Mmm, you can just leave that one aside, little buddy,” another user joked, among other observations.

But while the internet was certainly amused by Musk's cringeworthy comment, it seems unlikely that Swift or Kelce will respect it with a response. Still, they might want to steer clear of the three-time Super Bowl champion at the next Met Gala or anywhere else they cross paths.
