With over 200,000 fast food joints across the U.S., you’re usually not too far from a place to grab a quick meal on a budget. If you’re a frequent customer of these chains, each one of them may have a favorite spot in your city and a spot you avoid like the plague.
New reporting Fast Company And Tasty We compiled customer reviews from some of the country's largest chains and found the best and worst locations for each across the U.S. To do this, Fast Company We analyzed Google Maps reviews for each location in the US and created a metric that combines the average customer review score and the number of reviews to determine a ranking.
McDonald's
According to customer reviews, the best McDonald's in the country is located at 2130 Main Street in Eagle Pass, Texas, with a rating of 4.25. MickyD's at 720 Imperial Avenue in Calexico, California, and 2045 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park, New York, are in second place with a rating of 4.22.
The most popular McDonald's locations are in California and Texas, with the location at 10207 Lakewood Boulevard in Downey, California, and the location at 101 S. Expressway in Brownsville, Texas, tying for third place.
By the way, Texas is also home to the most hated McDonald's in the country: 10042 South Zarzamora Street in San Antonio. That location has a rating of 1.37.
Burger King
Texas is also home to some great Burger King locations. The best-reviewed BK is located at 3040 Ella Boulevard in Houston, with a rating of 4.60. This is followed by Burger King at 12790 NW 7 in North Miami, Florida.pearl The street not far from the company's headquarters in the tropical city.
Eagle Pass, Texas, is home to the third-best Burger King at 2280 East Garrison Street, and the fourth-best Burger King in El Paso at 6085 Montana Avenue. The Doral, Florida location at 11400 NW 41st Street, also in the Miami area, comes in fifth.
Among the Burger King branches you should avoid, stay away from the branch at 4301 Sunset Boulevard in Lexington, South Carolina, because it has a rating of 1.42.

Taco Bell
Social media users may recognize the country’s highest-rated Taco Bell. Located on the iconic Pacific Coast Highway in Pacifica, California, this location has a 4.42 rating and offers stunning views of the ocean while you chow down on your Crunchwrap Supreme. You can even grab an alcoholic beverage here for a true beach day vibe.
Texas once again boasts some great Taco Bell locations. The Brownsville location at 925 FM 802 and the Harlingen location at 402 Dixieland Road come in second and third, while the McAllen location at 420 S. 10th Street comes in fifth. Taco Bell at 3509 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Union City, New Jersey rounds out the list in fourth place.
If you're in central Florida, you might want to avoid the Taco Bell at 1519 Saxon Boulevard in Deltona, as it's the worst-ranked restaurant in the country, according to data.
KFC
The best Kentucky Fried Chicken location is actually not in Kentucky, but in neighboring Indiana. The KFC at 637 East National Avenue in Brazil, Indiana, is the best-rated KFC in the country, with a score of 4.67. This is followed by the KFC at 501 South Main Street in Sapulpa, Oklahoma; 1301 Southern Hills Center in West Plains, Missouri; and 3970 Highway 411 in Madisonville, Tennessee.
The worst KFC in the country is in California, and it's located in a place many Californians hate: Los Angeles International Airport.
