Former Patriot Tom Brady paid a sweet tribute to the Olympians and his 11-year-old daughter Vivian during their “once in a lifetime” trip to Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
“I didn't know exactly what to expect going into @Paris2024, but the three days we spent together truly exceeded anything I could have ever imagined,” Brady began his heartfelt caption, which includes 10 photos showcasing his time with Vivian.
Brady said it was inspiring to see “athletes from so many sports and countries,” and that part of the trip she found “especially meaningful” was “coming to this incredible city with my daughter and watching the strongest women I've ever seen compete for gold, silver and bronze.”
Brady continued: “For the first time in Olympic history, there was a 50:50 split between male and female athletes. That was a statistic I proudly told Vivi as we watched these heroes compete.”
The first photo on the carousel is a sweet snap of the seven-time NFL champion and his daughter standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. In another photo, the duo stand next to American gymnast Suni Lee, who won three medals at this year's games.
Also included is a video of Brady and Vivian watching a diving competition. After an impressive launch, a stunned Brady exclaims, “Oh my God! That was amazing.” Vivian, sitting next to him, agrees. “That was so cool,” she marvels.
“Sports are truly unique in the world in that they bring so many people together and bring out the best in all of us, both as competitors and fans,” Brady wrote. “I felt like I lived and died with each performance, appreciating the hard work, dedication and sacrifice it takes to compete at this level.”
Brady concluded his post with a rallying cry to his followers. “I’ve said this a few times lately, but we should all aim to do HARD things. Whether it’s in sports or in life, push yourself beyond your comfort zone and see what you can truly achieve,” he said. “Congratulations to the champions, competitors, and the entire city of Paris on a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Brady has been doing his best to document his time in Paris over the past week, sharing photos and Instagram Stories showing exciting highlights like the gold medal tennis match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
