talking to TV InsiderBinder confirmed that Knight will officially leave the team when the new season begins and his former colleagues struggle with his departure in different ways. Most of the characters will still be intact for the 22nd season, but Binder hints at how the premiere will “reunite our team on a level” suggests that the once close group will no longer be so close-knit.
