While DC is constantly dragging its heels with one of its fan favorite pairings, something is happening in the real world as at least two cosplayers celebrate their engagement — as Nightwing and Batgirl.
In a post by Ryansimsphotography on Instagram, Nightwing and Batgirl are seen in bright cosplaying form as they battle it out in the Court of Owls. This image is further enhanced by the ad these two cosplayers are now busy in real life.
zack_attack_cosplay and textthemess are both cosplayers with quite a following on Instagram. But with this latest announcement, they made more than their dreams come true.

It has been mocked many times, but It doesn't look like DC is going to give fans a Nightwing and Batgirl wedding in the near future. Tom Taylor and Daniele Di Nicuolo even trolled fans Nightwing #98 Nite-Mite teasing a surprise wedding between the two. In modern continuity, Nightwing has enough on his hands to become an equal leader with Batman, and in another universe, Batgirl has established herself as the Queen of the Vampires. If fans want to believe in true love, they may have to look up from the page and into the real world of DC cosplayers.

Kenzie Rae, known as text subject on Instagram, has a long history of cosplaying DC characters, and she gets help with costumes from her partner and now fiance zack_attack_cosplay. They have been working together for a while and are getting to know each other. It almost looks like it fans can imagine Nightwing and Batgirl helping each other improve their suits. Of course, Nightwing plants Batgirl's costumes – Kenzie and Zack practically made this canon.

At the end of the day, they are two people who love each other, but the symbols they decide to wear mean a lot to DC fans.
